In recent months my inner 13-year old nerdy boy avatar has manifested himself – at the encouragement of my last gentleman caller. Our short-lived romance blossomed over discussions of graphic novels, science fiction, anime, manga, DC vs. Marvel heroes, and old school computer games. Unfortunately things didn’t work out between us (add him to the idiot just friends pot), but I didn’t walk away empty handed. He loaned out his DVD’s of the most recent Battlestar Galactica series. I’m officially hooked on the “best show you’re not watching” and encourage my girlfriends to Netflix the show (the series ended).
My ex would rave about the show, encouraging me to watch it – finally I checked out Season One’s miniseries from his library. The plot was gripping, the acting was full of depth, the action was thrilling (and honey, I mean action). Best of all, there was major eye candy.
